COT Classic and Modern – vehicle eligibility

Eligible Vehicles

Any person interested in entering the event is encouraged to submit details of the vehicle to the organisers to check on its eligibility and receive confirmation in writing if it is eligible for the event, providing confidence to prepare the vehicle.

Classic Outback Trial – For 2WD (Non- Turbocharged) Vehicles

Group 1 – Historic Rally Cars (to 31 December 1980)
– H1 – Historic Cars prior to 1 January 1968
– H2 – Historic Cars 1 January 1968 to 31 December 1980

Group 2 – Classic Rally Cars (to 31 December 1989).
– C1 – Authentic Classic 2WD Cars
– C2 – Modified Classic 2WD Cars

Group 3 – Production Rally Cars Early (prior to 1 January 1986)

Classic Outback Modern – For 2WD And 4WD (Including Turbocharged) Vehicles

Group 4 – Classic C3 and C4 Rally Cars (any year)

Group 5 – Club Rally Cars (any year)

Group 6 – Production Rally Cars Late 2WD & 4WD (1 January 1986 to prior to 1 January 2009)

Group 7 – Production Rally Cars Modern 2WD & 4WD (1 January 2009 on)

Group 8 – Other suitable 2WD & 4WD vehicles accepted at the discretion of the organisers.

All turbo-charged 4WD cars must be fitted with a restrictor. Refer to CAMS Rally Manual on the website under Rally/Road at Vehicles General (RMVG) Article 3.1.
