Reigning 2WD Australian Rally Champions Adam Kaplan and Aleisha Penney, were the team to beat on day four of the Lasseters Classic Outback Trial winning three of the four stages, but Andrew and David Travis maintained an overall lead of almost 7 minutes just past the half way point of the rally.
The leader’s closest challenger stumbled and fell on day 3 leaving Andrew and David Travis a 7 minute buffer to the next best, the Tuthill prepared Porsche 911 of Joost Van Cauwenberge and Jacques Castelein from Belgium. The Porsche however is on a charge, and stated their intentions by winning the last 3 stages of the day.

Phil Kerr and Jenny Cole hit trouble on day two of the Lasseters Classic Outback Trial, while Andrew and David Travis extended their advantage at the top of the leaderboard, winning three out of the day’s five stages.
Day one of the Lasseters Classic Outback Trial felt a bit like history repeating itself, with the 2016 winners Andrew and David Travis taking the honours in their Nissan Gazelle.
