35 early birds after that elusive COT worm…

As we near the one year to go milestone to COT18, it’s been a busy period to date. Early bird nominations closed at the end of last month and we’re happy to reveal we’ve had 35 crews submit an entry, including two internationals.

In June, we announced that popular Argentinians Jorge Perez Companc and Jose Volta would return in their Ford Escort RS1800 and they will now be joined by Owen Turner and Rachel Vestey who will make the trek from the UK in their 1972 Austin Mini to complete in Classic competition in addition to running the Endurance Rally Club of Australia’s expanded Classic Outback Trial Tour.

COT16 1st, 2nd and 3rd Classics have all nominated to defend (and better?) their efforts. Great to see Andrew and David Travis, Andy Crane/Dave Anderson, and Philip Kerr/Jenny Cole back for COT18.

John Cooper/Ross Warner are sure to provide plenty of entertainment once again in and out of their XD Falcon, while Territorians Chris and Blake McCormack have entered Classic competition following their efforts in Modern competition in 2016.

List of nominations as at 5 August 2017.

With nominations open until 31 July 2018 you too can still be part of the action. For nomination forms, terms and conditions please see our Documents and Forms page.
