Enjoy a guided sunset tour to the home of Brolga and his kangaroo family as seen on ‘Kangaroo Dundee’ (BBC UK / National Geographic USA documentary). The Sanctuary is a 90 acre wildlife reserve and was the film location for the TV show Kangaroo Dundee.
Experience a leisurely walk through the bush as the kangaroos wake from their day-time sleep. Meet the characters of Kangaroo Dundee such as ‘mad as a cut snake’ Roger, Rex, Ruby and Bluey. The Sanctuary is a place to celebrate the beauty of the red kangaroo – an Australian icon.
The Sanctuary is open Wednesday, Thursday and Friday for a guided sunset tour. Pick up time in June is between 4-4.30pm and the tour takes 2.5 to 3 hours. Bookings are essential – the tour includes free bus transfers from your hotel/hostel.
Classic Outback Trial visitors have been offered a special price for the tour: Adult – $65 (usual price $85) Child – $45

This tour fits in really well for COT visitors – it runs on the Wednesday, Thursday and Friday evenings as people start arriving into Alice Springs. But make sure you book!
And, we understand that Brolga does the majority of the guided tours – so you could be shown around by Kangaroo Dundee himself!
