Garry Searle awarded CAMS Service Star

The Classic Outback Trial’s scorer, Garry Searle, was awarded a CAMS Service Star at the annual CAMS Awards dinner in Adelaide recently. The award was for Garry’s amazing work in scoring for rallies and the COT team attended “in force” to help him celebrate.

Garry has been a key part of the organising team for all Classic Outbacks, as well as most other major rallies in Australia. He’s been involved in the Red Centre to Gold Coast, Classic Adelaide, Targa Tasmania, the ’98 Round Australia and numerous ARCs and WRCs.  The CAMS citation recognised his amazing efforts:

“The CAMS Service Star is awarded to Garry Searle for his dedication and selfless contribution to the field of scoring on rallies. Garry’s service has included developing innovative computer systems to provide prompt and accurate results, which ensure optimum information and fulfillment for competitors and organisers alike at the end of events. He has very few peers in this area of expertise, and none who match his commitment. “

We couldn’t have said it better… and we’re thrilled that Garry’s efforts have been recognised by this prestigious award.

Congratulations Garry!
